Multi Channel Radio Access Simplex Unit

AWRS

The AWRS (Multi-channel Simplex Radio Access Equipment) is intended to interconnect the UKF (SŁR) radio communication network of the battlefield with the radio-line-and-wire communication system (SŁRP) STORCZYK, forming an integrated tactical-level field communications network. The subsystem based on the AWRS can constitute an autonomous communications system that enables operation independently of the radio-line-and-wire communications subsystem STORCZYK, with a seven-digit subscriber numbering system.

AWRS provides telecommunications services both while stationary, i.e. with connection to the SŁRP via cables, and during movement, using the SŁR as a connection medium to the SŁRP or as a communications medium between WRS UKF equipment units.

AWRS capabilities in providing telecommunications services:

  • Simultaneous establishment of eight connections in data transmission mode or in voice-communication mode with the SŁR-P system

  • RPA connections with SŁR-P subscribers

  • RPA-to-RPA connections with RPA units belonging to another radio network, but being WRS subscribers, via the SŁR-P system

  • Transmission of acknowledged and unacknowledged packet messages

  • Conference connections with SŁRP subscribers

  • Broadcast (general) connections to radio networks
