Converter and multiplexer

SLS AGR-4/4

The SLS AGR-4/4 Converter is a multiplexer for managing data in the NMEA 0183 format. This is a standard used in marine navigation systems, meteorological data collection systems, data acquisition devices, etc. The device has the ability to filter and retransmit selected NMEA sequences to selected output ports. The SLS AGR-4/4 Converter uses standard, short-circuit protected RS-422 ports for transmitting NMEA 0183 data streams from a maximum of four input devices and four receivers. Each serial port can be set to one of the predefined data transmission rates – the device provides data buffering if necessary.

The firmware with a built-in web server provides flexible data management: combining several streams into one, data filtering and conversion of transmission parameters. Therefore, it is possible to connect various NMEA devices together, regardless of their own hardware limitations (port speed settings, etc.).

Additionally, the SLS AGR-4/4 device can convert a signal from NMEA 0183 to NMEA over Ethernet.

A USB type B port can be used for monitoring data transmission (using a PC computer).

Device configuration and data management are carried out via the built-in web server.
