Advances in CRAI project

KenBIT Sp. z o.o. participated in the development of functionalities as part of the CRAI project. Research into the use of AI in spectrum analysis is progressing.

The EDA Cat. B project, CRAI (Communications and Radar systems hardened with Artificial Intelligence in contested electronic warfare environment), covers research into the potential benefits of using artificial intelligence (AI) in a combined configuration for spectrum sensing and exploitation (Communications and Radar) in order to support situational awareness and, consequently, decision-making processes in military applications.

KenBIT Sp. z o.o. participated in the preparation of:

  • signals generated under laboratory conditions, covering a wide range of modulations;  
  • signals from RRC9200 and RRC9311/9211 radio stations operating both under laboratory conditions and in real operating conditions of military networks in FH and IP MUX modes;  
  • jamming signals.
  • As part of the project, a signal visualization module was also developed, enabling the review and measurement of selected spectrum parameters in the form of a Fourier transform. This module was used to verify the correct operation of the artificial intelligence module.

Entities from Germany and Poland participate in the implementation of the project financed by the EDA (European Defence Agency): HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH, Rohde&Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Fraunhofer FHR, Fraunhofer FKIE, the Military University of Technology, the Military Institute of Communications – National Research Institute, ITTI Sp. z o.o. and KenBIT Sp. z o.o.
