Serial Line Splitter family of navigational signal distributors
The devices are designed for the distribution of navigational signals in the NMEA standard as well as other serial transmission signals carried out via RS-422 interfaces at speeds of up to 2MBit/s. The primary application is to receive, amplify, galvanically isolate and distribute navigational signals from sensors/receivers (GPS, log, compass, echo sounder, clock, wind gauge, etc.) and deliver them to multiple receiving points – repeaters, recorders, displays and other navigational devices, with overvoltage and interference protection ensuring reliable operation and cooperation of shipborne navigational equipment.
The devices ensure continuity of navigational information delivery, thanks to the ability to connect two signal sources of the same type, e.g. two GPS receivers – primary and backup, with automatic connection of the backup source in the event of transmission loss from the primary source and restoration of communication from the primary source after its restart.
